David Michael Slonim (b. 1966; BFA, Rhode Island School of Design1988), is an abstract painter represented by galleries in Boston, Jackson Hole, Scottsdale, and The Hamptons. His work has been featured in LUXE Interiors + Design, Western Art & Architecture, SouthwestArt, and American Art Collector.

Prominent permanent collections include the Conrad Hotel, Indianapolis, Community Bank Shares, Denver, Richmond Art Museum, Richmond, IN, the Mazza Museum, Findlay, OH, and the West Foundation, Indianapolis.

David is also a prolific children’s author and illustrator of more than 28 books, with translations in six languages, and recognized by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Publisher's Weekly, and Society of Illustrators.

David was selected to be a Visiting Artist with the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, the world's largest children's museum, 2020-2021.

He speaks regularly to organizations and schools, inspiring others to explore and enjoy their own creative potential.

David and his wife Bonnie live in Central Indiana. They have four adult children and several grandchildren.
